More casinos getting blacklisted in Belgium

Laws, which govern internet policies in Belgium, are quite strict. Currently, the country has laws, which require an ISP (Internet Service Provider) to censor an online casino, if it does not have a valid license for operating in Belgium that effectively blocked a lot of names from the country.

According to the recent release, Belgian Gaming Commission Board has gone ahead and put a stop on few more operators. They have blacklisted 5 online casino operators, which they deemed as non-compliant. One of the big names to suffer from the list is the Gamebookers.com. It is a subsidiary of the popular Bwin.party Digital Entertainment.

As a response to being blacklisted, Bwin.party Digital Entertainment has said that the laws, which govern the online casinos in Belgium, are quite contrary to what you will find in the other parts of European Union. According to the European Union rules, there can be free e-commerce amongst its members. This was one of the reasons, why Bwin.party refused to apply for the license for operating there. Now, the situation is that it does not have a business in the country, as most of its offerings have been blacklisted by different ISPs.

Gaming commissions identify that internet blacking is amongst the most effective methods, in case you are looking to have a check on the unlicensed casino sites. With this policy in place, already 50 different online casinos have got blacklisted by the ISPs. The list includes a number of big names of Europe, which include Titan Poker, William Hill Poker and Bwin.party.
